Wickham Bishops is a village in the county of Essex with a population of just under 2000 residents. The village is approximately 3 miles from Witham which offers a main line station with services to London and Ipswich. Witham is also close to the A12.

The village enjoys good amenities such as a Church, new Village Hall built in 2006 (which accommodates approximately 15 various clubs and a new Children's Play Ground), the Library, General Store with Post Office, Hairdressers, Health Food Shop, Beauty Treatments Salon, Tea Room, Vehicle Repair Garage and Car Showroom. There is also a 17 acre Sports Field with Football teams ranging from 6 yrs to veterans and Tennis Courts.

2009 Best Kept Village (Class 2: 2000 population)

The Village Hall gained a Design Award from Maldon District Council in 2008.
